Education
BA in English, Florida Gulf Coast University (3.6 cumulative GPA, 3.7 in major)
Experience
Two years of tutoring at the university level Three years of editing and coaching self-published authors 2130 SAT (770 Writing, 750 Reading) 93 AFQT on the ASVAB (Vet friendly) Served as an editor for the Mangrove Review, a college literary magazine Served as a copy editor for the Eagle News, a college newspaper Panelist at 2012 Sigma Tau Delta Literary Conference for short fiction None of that is particularly impressive. I'm far more proud of my ability to get people to see themselves as writers, to help them recognize how much they already know, and to instill confidence while honing their natural language abilities. On more than one occasion, college seniors have remembered me for having helped them with their freshman-level composition papers. I wish I could put that on a resume instead of all the junk about SAT scores and college publications. I'm a big believer in speaking honestly and plainly to cut through the B.S. that makes subjects more difficult than they have to be. My writers have fun and feel better about themselves. And I get results.

When I'm not helping people take the English language less seriously, I am typically engaged in the eternal cycle of drinking far too much coffee and popping after-coffee breath mints.
