Experience
In 2013, I graduated from Chaminade University in Honolulu with my bachelor's in elementary education and a minor in psychology. I'm currently working to earn my masters in counseling psychology. While I work on my studies, I work for a few different jobs. I substitute teach in the Leeward District of Oahu, as well as provide private tutoring sessions. I can work with students to improve their understanding of elementary to college level English, math, social sciences, and other courses. My students know they can come to me for assistance on college essays, as well as tips for studying and strategies for taking tests. My tutoring style is unique to each student. I don't buy into the "one-size" style of education. Instead I work out what each student needs and how they learn best before planning out lessons. My goal is to make learning fun, relevant, and successful. I believe that the best learning occurs when the student is enjoying themselves. While education is one of my top passions, I also love to play the drums. I enjoy the cajon and bongos the best. I play basketball and have for most of my life. I enjoy listening to and playing music with my friends.
