I am a licensed educator with my endorsement in high school social studies. I have been a substitute teacher for two years, gaining valuable experience in stressful and foreign environments that are outside of my endorsement. This has allowed me to become comfortable in areas that are outside of my comfort zone and has created a sense of empathy in me for students who are in classrooms and topic areas that they are not comfortable with. I am a relationship-centered person who believes that every child deserves the time and energy of an educator who cares for them and is willing to discover the individual way that they learn. My expertise is in all things Social Studies, but I am well versed in literature, grammar, vocabulary, identifying main points and summarizing, and poetry. Hobbies

I have been a high school girls basketball coach now for 4 years. I strongly believe in the life lessons that all athletics and team activities can provide to young adults. I am big sports fan, but more specifically collegiate basketball and collegiate football. I am a certified book worm with an insatiable hunger for (sometimes useless) information. I am an avid traveler. I traveled through 12 Western European countries alone when I was 21 before I completed a study abroad program in Dublin, Ireland. I traveled to Ireland, Italy and France alone again when I was 25. I place very high value on seeing as much of the world as possible. It has taught me about many cultures, it has shown that me people really are good at heart, and it unveiled inner strength I never knew I had.
