Experience
I am an experienced tutor in Mathematics. I have found that once a base knowledge of the concepts in Mathematics is learned, they can then be applied to increasingly complex problems. I enjoy working through the problems with students and believe that it is important that we take the time to "play around" with the problems in order to better understand them. I often find that utilizing a whiteboard is the best way to help a student see the problem and the solutions. It also allows the freedom to attempt different solutions. I received my undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering with a double minor in History and Mathematics. I continued my education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where I earned a graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering. I am interested in tutoring a variety of Math subjects (Arithmetic, all levels of Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, and Trigonometry), General Science, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical and Bimolecular Engineering, and English. When I'm not working, I like to read science fiction and fantasy novels, write fiction, and play volleyball.
