I can tutor students in biology, reading, writing, literature, Earth science, environmental science, ecology, English, Spanish, and a variety of other subjects. I also teach English as a second language. I'd be happy to help students who are preparing for their standardized exams like the SAT and ACT. I received my undergraduate degree from Southern Oregon University. While I was an undergraduate student I studied biology abroad in Ecuador. I also had the privilege of teaching English as a second language to college students in Chile. I'm now working towards receiving my teaching license to be a substitute teacher. I'd love to work with any student who is having difficulty with a subject and help them overcome their learning obstacles. As a tutor I present the subject material from new perspectives so that students can better grasp what we are going over. I personalize my lesson plans so they reflect the individual learning style of the student. When I'm not tutoring I enjoy writing, listening to music, going on bike rides, hiking, and traveling the world.
